I solely had used LCD readers (dedicated and/or PDA) until mid 2009 when I acquired an eink iLiad v2 (
FINALLY!).
I can read just fine on my 5+ years old LCD dedicated readers like the B&W REB1100, 16-grayscale EBW1150 and MY favourite 32768-colour REB1200!
The LCD PDA-type readers (Sony Clie's and iPod Touch) have screens that are just too small for me to enjoy the reading experience and I could never get used to (manually) switching pages so frequently...

(
Perhaps if I could have used telepathy to change the page it would have made the difference!
)
My 16-grayscale 8" iLiad v2 is not really geared towards reading letter-sized .pdf ebooks, but that's what I use it for. It makes a good compromise between device size and screen clarity. As a novel reading device, it works just GREAT, but has no backlight!
I'm still undecided what my next (colour!) reading device will be, but I think I have enough ebooks and capable ebook readers to wait it out a bit longer...
I'm no stranger to using yesterday's technology as long as it WORKS!
