When the iPad is actually out, and matured a bit... I may get one.
If I get one it would replace my notebook and ereader. Heck, my iphone could just about replace my notebook and ereader, but the screen is so small.....
The iPad is not for everyone, but for many (like me) it could be really good. I use my laptop for what MOST people use a computer for. Internet, email, photos, .....leisure activities. All "serious" stuff I do on my desktop. I want a device I can do those leisure things on that is portable, instant on, easy to use, easy to hold, and cost about as much as an "average" laptop. The fact that I could watch a movie on it or read a book.... thats icing on the cake....
If I wanted a full on computer experience with Windows 7, or OSX... I would buy something else.
