It's new, and it's popular. For the first few days there will be threads on it *shock*. If it's still dominating the page in a week, sure, but I'd bet 1-2 threads on it will still be going then.
This place is already badly organised enough in forum layout terms without hiding live threads with interesting discussion in generic forums.
