I have the 505 with the lightwedge cover....still I am proud to say. My son took me to the post supply when he was in the army and slid it into a shovel cover thingy....it works great. I have dropped it a few times with no injuries at all....love it! I still have yet to figure out why the army felt the need to make shovel covers....shouldnt be an issue with them falling and getting dirty...but I found it great for my reader.

it's not a shovel, it's an "e-tool" (honest!... entrenching tool). the shovel head folds down over a very short handle. it is designed to be carried on the outside of a rucksack, and the cover is so nothing is damaged by it. the edges are quite sharp
