I have the same issue. I'm reading a book with a character named "Val" which is pronounced correctly most of the time. If a sentence end with "Val" and a period (Val.), the name gets pronounced as "value". I don't use TTS much so this stuff just makes me laugh.
If I depended on it or used it more often, I could see how it would become annoying.
