Device: Sony PRS-900 but selling to move to and Ipad
Honestly, it's shiny and all and I thought it might be worthwhile, but I have an iPhone, and iPod Classic (120GB) and a PRS-900. It fulfils all their functions in part, but not well enough to replace any of them.

iPhone- It's not small enough to carry in a pocket, so it loses the portable aspect, but gains screen size and processing power. Plus, there's no way I'm getting rid of the iPhone. (Unless AT&T decides to start failing more than ever, or the signal is screwy when I move. That's the ONLY reason I would get one of these things.)

iPod- It doesn't have the capacity that I need. End of story. There's just not enough storage on any of these models, plus the fact that it's format gimped for movies makes it an almost total non-starter as movie viewer. I could stick a few playlists and shows on it for when I'm reading or bored or whatever.

PRS-900- The screen difference really isn't *that* bad. I spend most of my time on my computer so that wouldn't change much. The problem is that LCD makes it a bit harder to focus on what I'm reading. And anyway I don't *want* a multitasking reader. I want it to do one thing, and do it well. That's personal preference, but I know I would get distracted by all the other stuff. I just want to read. That's it.

That's my take on the whole thing. I was thinking about getting one if it was closer to a computer and actually could do some heavier duty tasks. But honestly it doesn't have a place in my bag currently because it fills no niche that I need filled. I'm pretty good with the setup I have, I don't need this. If I needed a more portable computer, I'd trade my MacBook Pro for a MacBook Air. My main computer is a Mac Pro, so it's not like I would need a portable beast, just something to handle road tasks and maybe a little podcast recording.
