You're comparing two completely different types of refreshes with different refresh speeds. A partial refresh (like the dialog box) is a lot faster than a full page refresh. You can't compare the times between those and assume that everything else is the rendering time.

Still not entirely sure what you're saying. You mean that it took the DR half an hour to turn a page?
