I'd be okay with approximate page numbers even. I'm fine without page numbers until I get to class and we try to have a group discussion with most people having print books and I'm sitting there with my Kindle. If I could say "this quote comes from somewhere around page 150" then great.

Or, what if there was an app that could sync up with Google Books to get page numbers? Even if it could only find page numbers for a few pages within the ebook, interspersed throughout the book, it could make the page approximations more accurate by doing some error-correction.

Of course, I'm not a programmer and this is probably really difficult to achieve - but I have a hard time believing it's *impossible*
