no, there's really no one. my friends in the immediate area all work during the day, and of course it is dark by 5. Katti'sCat, there is absolutely no support from emergency services for this type of thing.
I'm trying to keep my hopes up, but between reading the dog's body language, and that last shriek... I just don't think so...
