That's what we told her but it was a big decision for her just to make the offer and then to wait a week to find out she wasn't chosen hit her hard. She can't understand how she can chalk it up to a learning experience. It's not like she hasn't had to deal with adversity, in her final semester of college, a professor blind-sided her by failing her without giving her any warning in a class that she worked harder than she had in any of her other classes. Since she already had a start date with her job, she had to give up the few weeks of relaxation she had planned before starting her job and take a summer semester class (which she aced). Anyway, it's hard to watch your kids go through things like these and not be able to do anything to help.

I don't understand any of it but my reaction was keel hauling would be too good for the seller. If that was the direction she wanted to go in when she put the house on the market, she should have said so.
