Trying to understand the real estate market and failing miserably. Shannon put a bid on a townhouse. After a week of waiting she was finally told last night that the seller chose another bid. The bid wasn't as strong as Shannon's but the buyer will allow the seller to remain in the house and then rent it back. In other words, an investor bought it. Shannon is now wondering how she will ever be able to buy a house in investors get all the good deals. I feel so sad for her. She's very upset now but her realtor (who is 70 if he's a day and just as sweet as he can be) got her right back out there looking at other houses. Hopefully, something even better will come along but the whole process is convoluted and frustrating.
