People have to decide it for themselves. I like the fact that the verilux does not spread out the light. ANd you only got one shiny place on your reader. On the top, which you only read for a few moments instead of 2 on both sides where it's always in your line of vision for the whole page.

Also it's more "compact" than the bug (IE no long antenna's)

It's probably easier to set into "reading mode" too, after stowing it away. Whereas you might have to adjust more with the bug.

And also the supposedly natural spectrum cathode light was a selling point for me too. I don't like the yellowish bulbs from other readers I had before.
