Browser without Javascript support

Hi, I am new to this forum, and planning on buying an ereader and think that the Onyx Boox might be a good choice especially because it has Wifi and a browser.

I'm especially interested in what people's experience is using the browser.
I understood from Dulin's Books that the browser does not work with Javascript. That sounds like quite a drawback. Is that true?

I know that browsing is not the thing you would normally do on this type of device, but I can think of all sorts of situations where it could be useful, and I would like to be sure it supports Javascript, as many sites nowadays do not work very well (or not at all) without support of Javascript (think of Google Mail, Google Docs, Maps etc...).
