If you want to connect to the kindle from another computer you will have to install the usbnetwork hack, search this forum for it and don't forget to read the warnings. With that I believe you get a ssh client on the kindle but only accessable from another computer so it is not of much use.
If you want to run ssh on the kindle using the display and connect to another computer, I don't think there is a solution for that currently. There is linux inside so it should be possible, but not available currently AFAIK. Something may appear when Amazon releases the development kit.
