If you decide to change your battery, the only tricky part (to me) was in disconnecting one ribbon cable, to allow the PCB to slide out far enough. It is an odd design where just the bare ribbon, with a stiffener, is pressed onto a PCB connector and held in place with a separate plastic clip. There is a clear plastic insulator adhered on top of all that. I assume this design has a slightly lower profile than a common male pin to female receptacle.
I damaged a sidewall on the PCB connector, figuring out how to pop off the separate plastic keeper. Now the keeper will not hold the ribbon in place. There is significant pull-out stress on the ribbon by design. I may try gluing the ribbon in place but right now none of the front face buttons (menu/page/number) work. Sigh. I'm calling it an excuse to order a Daily Edition...
