In the interest of full disclosure, let me state unequivocally that in all the years of self-publishing, and the hundreds (well, certainly more than a hundred) of e-books I have sold, I have only had
one complaint about my book formatting*.
*Some file corruptions are caused by computer storage glitches, program processing errors, or interruptions to the normal transmission process through e-mail, and are not necessarily the fault of the publisher...
