Finally got my hands on a nook!

I ended up in not one, but two bookstores today - Borders in Dekalb, IL was hosting a signing with Julie Hyzy, and I attended that (and had a blast, more in the Lounge on that), and Barnes and Noble in Dekalb. This is the first chance I've had to get over there since the stores got the demo units.

First off, I must say I was impressed. They had it prominently displayed, and it was in sleep mode. After I figured out where the power button was, it woke right up - no sluggishness there! I had no problem with the bottom touch screen, and the unit overall did not seem sluggish either. (This is the biggest complaint I've seen in relation to the nook, but I didn't experience it). The demo titles on it displayed beautifully, and I like the feel of the unit. Like the looks, too. There are several more detailed reviews here, so I'm not going to go into too much detail, but I will sum up by saying: If I was going to get another dedicated six inch e-ink device, it would be a nook.
