I've always liked the Sony's. Had the 500 and the 505 and I still think the 505 is the best 6 inch device on the market. I like most things about the 900 and you are correct in that it is perfectly readable, but when you compare it to a DX or another non-resistive touch device the reading quality pales in comparison when just looking at contrast and clarity. Everyone has different needs and wants in a device, but it surprises me that they make some of the readability tradeoffs that they do when the quality of eink is still not up the printed page. With that said, the other features of the device may be worth the tradeoff for a segment of the market.
