good news for you (and i hope you'll see this reply before a week goes by

), you can modify the subscription alerts as you like, and instant notification is one of the options. go to your user cp, then choose "edit options" or click here https://www.mobileread.com/forums/pro...do=editoptions
under Messaging & Notification you'll see Default Thread Subscription Mode. select from the list, "save changes" at the bottom of the page, done.

you may have to update individually the options for already-subscribed threads ; do that in user cp / subscribed threads / view subscriptions. check the box to the right of the thread, and use the drop-down list at the bottom of the page to update the notification type.
