crikey !! i hope both of you manage to keep your feet dry (from now on) ! some parts of the country are subject to flooding here and you see photos of people's houses with water lines halfway up the wall, geesh. a few years ago the seine was really high (you couldn't walk on the quais at all, they were completely underwater) and the city sent out pamphlets with information on what to do in case of a flood, with a map of the most at-risk neighborhoods. i'm pretty far from the river and also on slightly higher ground (plus i live on the 4th floor, that's the 5th floor to you USA-icans) so i wasn't really in any danger but the people at the louvre were worried.
