I live in northern Arizona and winter storm number 3 for this week is getting ready to sling more snow on us although the "experts" say this storm will be part rain and snow and to just stay home the next 2 days. Easy for them to say. At a minimum we will get another 12 inches of snow on top of the 12 inches we already got this week and the 2 feet left over from the blizzard in December. Keep Arizona in your prayers as the southern part of the state is to get 4-6 inches of rain and flooding fears abound.
To answer the question forming in your mind, Flagstaff (northern Arizona) is at an elevation of 7000 feet. We get that cold winter weather complete with snow storms. The southern part of the state (Phoenix) is where the temperatures are pleasant during the winter months.
