One moment you are looking for something to read, the next you're busy with other things and barely get around to reading. Also, I made friends with my local library and read a few paper books (gasp!).

Anyway, have now started on the MR books and picked Jane Austen's Emma first (no particular reason). I'm about a quarter of the way in and not sure I can finish it. Have you guys read it?

I can't find much to like in the book, I think Emma's a bitch, her father is a hypochondriac and a Nervous Nelly and everybody panders to him, and they seem to have nothing to talk about but do it for hours. I'm just about ready to tear my hair out. Please tell me Emma will get her comeuppance and there's a reason for me to keep reading!
