I'd love to have a multifunction device that served as an ereader, but also displayed videos, played mp3s, played games, had an app store, had a fast 3G connection to the web, etc.
However, if it doesn't use some form of color eInk then I am not interested in using it as an ereader. So, I'll wait until Amazon/Mirasol announce their Apple killer next year.
