The cost of the kindle+ shipping+tax+Import tax is close to the $650 and that's in USD. You can't buy a Kindle in the store.

I live fairly close to the US boarder, about 3 hours away, one hour away from a large city I go to for other reason. B&N (if I'm not mistaken) will sell the Que in their store and I can buy there.

Likewise I can ask my aunt who lives in the US to buy me a Que and send it that way.
