kartu, I previously had both
menu and
read joypad hold center set to shutdown. I also had joypad center in
read set to page forward. I decided that I wanted to go back to the default for the standard joypad center so I could use it as
enter again. Going back to default did not restore the function even after rebooting via shutdown nor after a hard reset via the hole in the back.
I finally had to go back to the initial firmware. I then put PRSplus back on my 505. I set the
Menu joypad center hold to shutdown and left the rest alone. Setting the
Menu joypad center hold to shutdown did cause the ability to use the center button to select menu items to cease working.
I just now set my 505 to the same settings in the 1st paragraph (to try and replicate the error) and again I can't go back to default functionality. The menu says it is default but it doesn't work. Of course I locked it up again doing this. I'll unbrick it later, but I was able to repeat the trouble.
When I get it working again I'm just going to use the joypad center hold for shutdown and leave the rest alone.
Just wanted VICTORSJG and you to know he wasn't alone. Most folks (like me) use the numbers to select menu items and don't even notice they lost the ability.
