Sony library software went bellyup. Kinda lost with Calibre.
I attempted to add some PDF's thru my Sony Library software and evidently the program has gone belly up. I worked for hours (literally) trying to get the PDFs to load but that darn status circle just went round and round and round...taunting me. I deleted files that the Sony software got hung up on. I tried turning the thing off and on. I uninstalled and reinstalled (which was an adventure in learning how to become the "Administrator"). All for nothing. Here it is 4:45am and it still taunts me. So I decided to take the plunge and download Calibre. It was highly recommended by a friend of mine. So I hook my Sony PRS 600 up to it and it lists my PDFs. That was a relief...thought the darn Sony software might of eaten them before it died. I am so far liking Calibre. I tried one PDF to see how transfer would work...BAM...there it was. My question is... are there folders like there was in the Sony software? I am downloading PDFs of the fanfiction I read and it would be so nice to be able to organize stories instead of having them all jumbled up. I know there is a tag option but I can't figure out how to get tags to the stories that are already on the reader or the one file that I used Calibre for. The ease of use of Calibre is great and I'll definitely take the trade off of having to tape an index card to the inside of the cover to list what's in each category but being able to tag or have a folder would be a LOT easier. Thanks in advance for any help and I'm sorry I rambled... being almost 5am (and coming down off the urge to murder a new gadget) will do that to you.
