Another good end-of-the-world title is Trinity's Child, by William Prochnau. Good solid Cold War stuff... the Soviets launch a nuclear attack on the USA, and we see it through the eyes of a B-52 bomber crew.
Another one is Arc Light by Eric L Harry. Again we have Nooclear Combat, toe to toe with the Rooskies. Not a bad one, although it's more of a limited nuclear exchange than Trinity's Child.
However, I'm not sure of the e-book availability of these titles. I read them in p-book format.
