Thanks for making me feel welcome guys. Thanks for the advice too. I bought a few ebooks from WH Smiths just after Christmas when they were 30% off, and bought many more than I should of when they were half price a few days ago.
What an awful site WHS have. Locating books is very cumbersome, and it crashes far too often. I received a patronising "clear my cache" email from their tech support.
Setting up Adobe Digital and understanding the download process was more involved than I expected, but simple now.
I already found project Gutenburg - but only because the pre-loaded free books on my cool-er referenced it.
To be honest I'd much rather pay for the recent release ebooks. I would pay for a physical hardback or paperback, and I do not see why I shouldn't for an ebook. Although I think they should be the same price (or even ever so slightly cheaper) as physical books.
