Future-proofing my username...

Hi everyone, nice to be here!

I'm looking forward to getting to use Calibre on my eeepc 901 for eBooks. I used to use iSilo and MobiPocket in the past on my Palm Zire and my Dell Axim, but those are well on their way out these days and I find myself using my eeepc for reading more and more often now. I've tried Plucker, but for various reasons the support simply isn't there for me on my preferred platform, Linux. Being that I am using an eeepc I am using Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04.3 for my operating system and many of the Plucker tools were written for Windows, not Linux.

Calibre looks like it will be the way forward for me, since it is able to open multiple formats and is customizable to my preferences. Since I don't yet have an e-ink reader this post is more or less intended to reserve my username for when I do have something slightly lighter than my eeepc.
