You don't need to be a professional translator to see it. I've read japanese books in both greek and english translations. There are translators who just understand both languages, and translators who can write. Any translator should be able to write, but the need when you translate from a language such as japanese is all the greater. I know only a little japanese, but enough to recognize some sentence structures and ways of expression, and when I see the same structures in english or greek, where they make almost no sense, I know the translator may have translated the words, but certainly not the spirit.
