It lets you run uninstallers... like from the add/remove. But, if the installer won't run for some reason like a missing cached msi file, which is what you had... you can just remove the entry from the list so it won't be in the registry anymore. Then you can manually delete the program and it's folders.
This should clean up the system and allow you to do a reinstall.

Thanks very much for that. I will give it a try today as I am fresh out of regular problems, so I will induce some for myself to see if I can get out of them again.
