I've never seen stuff like "8-9 of 36", but I guess that's because I never read epubs.
I'll try to fix it before the 1.0 release, but I guess that'd be some time in couple of weeks.

What I wonder is, did that work before, with PRSCustomizer hacks?

Guys, just HOLD menu button. It's a standard feature.
