I'll try to post pics later tonight of the lights in action. (Have to wait for it to get dark.)
The light seems very even to me.
A gentle backlight would be nice, but I notice when I read on my Palm that after a while I get a bit of eye strain if the ambient light in the room I'm reading in is too dark.
Maybe 2nd generation? I'm happy to adapt to 1st generation - at least it exists! After all these years of waiting, I'm more than content to use a little light I already had (for another tech device!
).
And, whatever light is added will eat into the phenomenal battery life. I still have to keep myself from plugging the Reader in every time I finish a book.
