You can store as many bookmarks as you like per book. Those bookmarks will also sync with Kindle for iPhone/iPod Touch and with the Kindle for PC app.
Your book will automatically open to the last page read when you click on it. If you are using Whispersync, you will be asked if you want to open to the last page read of whatever device you read the farthest on. If you want to visit previous books marks you can do so via the menu.
