I hope it won't too be long before he can properly appreciate it. He buried himself in his job to block off the pain of losing Vicky. Now he's going to have to confront that, starting with sleeping in what used to be their bed again. It will make what he does for a living look easy.

But the contract and raise are richly deserved. I think the Bengal's D might have been the best in the NFL, and that was his doing. If they had an offense as good, they'd be in the playoffs and a good bet to win the Super Bowl.
