The A9 has a capacitive touch screen, probably not suitable for handwritten notes, but on the other hand the software development capability between Jinke and iRex is like night and day. If iRex was about to introduce a new device like the A6/A9, all software development on existing products would grind to a halt (the DR800SG is virtually identical to the DR1000S, but the next software update for the DR1000S is at least 3 months late). Jinke has been regularly releasing updates for the V3 and V5 devices with no sign of any strain on their resources.

The DR800SG looks like a really nice product, but it may well be worth seeing what Jinke can come up with for the A9. The A6 will probably be out first and give us some idea on the software front.
