i wouldnt knock finger swiping - i first played around with a touch screen itouch as a novelty, but got so hooked I bought the first gen iphone when it was released.

Having used it now for a long time I think swiping is excellent - the only thing i would say is it would be nice to have a marriage between touch screen in addition to physical buttons - number of times I hung up on a caller by accidently pressing the phone to my ear, or having frozen fingers trying to desperately take my gloves off just to answer the phone!

Obviously you wont have this problem, unless you fall asleep on your eReader :-) , but I think their is merit with finger swiping.

As an ardent fan of my now very out of date palm T3 I also use stylus and its no biggie other than loosing your stylus (I always tend to put my nintendo ds stylus down and forget to slot it back in), so i think stylus would work as well, altho for comfort reading, it was much easier using swipe on iphone, or buttons/wheel on my bebook.
