It's authors I re-read more than books. Evelyn Waugh, PG Wodehouse, Robertson Davies. The books I tend to keep and return to are mostly ones that I read as a teenager. Monica Dickens' "Kate and Emma", a horrifying yet blackly funny dip into a world of poverty and deprivation, is one I've read many times. Oh and "Hamlet".
