produces differing-appearing fonts in epubs, but Calibre's mobi output is all serifed all the time.
MobiCreator has different fonts on output with the same call (but has the inconvenience of generally different-looking output from the same code. I actually prefer the way calibre handles sizing over MobiCreator)
Not that I mind all that much - it just gets my attention.
