Not every one, true.

Aye. I don't see Sony fanboys setting up websites to promote every single Sony product, for instance.

I think you're missing the spirit of the word 'fanboy'. Think fanatic boy, i.e. immature male fanatics. Filled with specious arguments and rabid support without justification or indeed supporting evidence.

What this has to do with anything I'm not quite sure. I'm quite thankful I'm not held hostage by Apple or its fanboys anymore though

All I ever do on my parents' and in-laws' computers is fix things, clean things up, undo the installation of 25 browser toolbars, and update virus databases. I've had it up to here (see me drawing a virtual line 50cm above my head) with system fixing, I am tired of fixing things. I only do it because I have to or else be disposessed My friends spend an estimated 10% of their time not working but to tinkering with their machines instead. I have only had the mentioned 2 hours of repair time in the last 6.5 years, distributed over 3 Apple laptops.
I'm glad Apple fanatics have decided the enemy is Microsoft Windows. They hope that's the only competition because they know operating systems based on Linux or OpenSolaris could blow Microsoft out of the water and work with parents' and in-laws' computers solving their problems in situ, but they're too busy promoting overpriced Apple hardware to acknowledge this.

The sound quality out of a cheap pair of earphones *is* bad. Doesn't matter if they are blessed by and overpriced by Apple.
You can buy lovely noise cancelling headphones to replace them, but Apple fanboys (and Apple itself through advertising) promote 'the look'. Figures.

I'm outta here, rubbing my iPhone all over my body and kneeling in front of my HisJobsNess shrine.
And here you show your fanboy quality. Again with Steve Jobs as saviour, Bill Gates as the Devil, and anyone who dares to cross you on anything Apple as demons.
Billyboy indeed! Any Linux users other than me feel offended?
