My thoughts, and this is if you're a somewhat avid photographer, is to generally buy the largest and fastest card you can...within reason. Why? Maybe you're on vacation, you have the reader and your digital camera. You've shot so many photos the card in your camera is now full. Well, you should have a backup of your books, and if not for shame, so use the card that's in your reader and continue on with vacation photos. I also tend to recycle cards. Faster and larger ones will go in devices I use more often and when those are replaced with even faster and larger, the older will go down the line to another device.

That said, I don't even have a card in my 600.
