I think it's a naive business proposition. What's wrong with letting people download a few chapters before they buy? If they like the book they will want to know how it ends and can buy the rest. It's honest to your customers and honest to you. In Holland we would call your business model: binding the kat to the bacon. Can't blame the cat for eating it!
