Just been looking in to the txtr reader than is now avaiblie in German, it looks like a greate device just got this response from them

For the time being, we are able to offer the txtr reader in Germany only. This has to do with the legal situation concerning the distribution of copyrighted works to foreign countries.
Of course we are planning to distribute the reader to other european countries as well and we hope to make this possible during 2010 for most european countries, with the UK being among those on top of the list.
As soon as this will be the case we will of course also be eager to include publications specific to those countries as well. This will most probably be usable without a txtr Pro subscription, just like the whole store is accessible via mobile connection without the subscription already.
