One of the first ebooks I picked up was short story collection - "The Best of Phillip K Dick" and I read a dozen or so stories before abandoning it. It just seemed too forced and a bit too much beating the reader over the head with a particular idea behind the story. It just didn't do much for me, in the same way Terry Pratchet doesn't do much for me. Of course your mileage may vary. |
Pratchett works best in audiobooks, in my experience. It's the main reason I've had a membership in Audible, sporadically, over the last few years.
