One of the first ebooks I picked up was short story collection - "The Best of Phillip K Dick" and I read a dozen or so stories before abandoning it. It just seemed too forced and a bit too much beating the reader over the head with a particular idea behind the story. It just didn't do much for me, in the same way Terry Pratchet doesn't do much for me. Of course your mileage may vary.
Pratchett works best in audiobooks, in my experience. It's the main reason I've had a membership in Audible, sporadically, over the last few years.
