I think that you have a bug in the quoting of your key parsing routines, as attempting to send a book to the PRS-505 storage card(uSD) resulted in a key error fail when the author name include an '&' character.

Changing the author name to NOT include '&' character allowed the upload to complete normally...

Authors with '&' chars worked in 0.6.26 and earlier that I know of.

Well, I would create a ticket but my old account seems to have gone bye-bye, and trac is bitching about some captcha that doesn't show up when attempting to register.
