Well, I think the main problem is how Sony expects to recoup the bandwidth costs (which it does with subscriptions and purchases on the reader store). Amazon's solution to this was using the e-mail service so they could charge a small fee per document and pay for bandwidth that way (and get a few cents on the side in revenue), or offer up the feeds on the store in a digest form (and generate a little revenue for the sites in question).
