That's a pretty good rule, actually. I grew tired of this series after book 5. I'd read the first 5 books one after another, and I really didn't think I'd be getting back into them any time soon. Now I've read books 7 and 8 in a row, and I am reading number 9 (the latest novel) while concurrently reading another book. I think 3 books is a row is my limit for a series before I need to switch to something else. I had enjoyed the "Sword of Truth" series, but again I got sick of it after book 4. I have been stuck on book 8 for a month, and I'm not sure how much of it has to do with series overload and how much has to do with the fact that book 8 seems to be regarded as the weakest book in the series. I plan on finishing the series, though...
