As of 0.6.32 "Send to device" now supports custom paths in the same manner as "Save to disk". This feature has undergone extensive testing but if a bug did slip though please open a ticket.

There is a new tab in the preferences under add/save for "Send to device". The configuration is the same and you are also able to set device specific paths in the device plugin settings.

Also note, the News tag and the / tag are still treated as special tags and will both override your custom path.
