Thank you for the update. I thought I was doing something wrong when I got the cygwin error. I did have to play around with the command line to get it to work. It's been a long time since I've messed with command line functions
. I like that your solution does not directly depend on the kindle4pc program.

The ability to read ebooks that I have purchased on whatever hardware I choose (now and in the future) is very important to me. Hopefully this work will also lead to tools to convert the dreaded Topaz format as well.
