Well, let's see.

SD Card = 2g.

Internal memory = 387m.
total book files so far = 257m, and that's after culling the duplicate Dickens and A.C.Doyle books, the 1800's cook books and the books in languages I don't read out of the "Astak 500 Free Books".

Won't take much more than another 200 files, if that, to fill the internal memory, but what's the point of having an SD Card slot if you don't use it?

My personal preference is to use a card reader as often as possible, and use the USB connection for ADE books (Library and BooksOnBoard, for instance), since they can't just be slapped onto the SD card using any old method available, and, of course, for charging the unit.

As for any differences in speed, its not like a few milliseconds here and there is going to make any real difference.

And besides all that, since the Reader automatically opens to the card anyway, switching to the internal memory would be more of a bother (and more often) than getting out a USB cord occasionally.

Am, however, looking forward to reading the solution to the problem.
